Isla Mujeres and Yucatan Peninsula

Isla
Mujeres is the another place, where you can relax and enjoy the life. You leave Cancún with all those Club Med tourists on a mainland and you can play and party with other young people from all over the world. It was the only island, where we dragged our car, even though the island is only 8 by 0.5 km large. It was less expensive than to leave it in Cancún, but on the other hand, it wasn't ordinary to drive in such remote island in Caribbean with NY license plate.

Isla Mujeres is also
great for snorkeling and
diving, sunbathing on Playa Norte and enjoying evenings in zócalo or in
Kokonut bar.
Water is clear-as-bell and warm that you can lie there for hours. |
After we left Isla Mujeres, we continued
south to explore the east shores of Yucatan. Playa del Carmen, Chemuyil, Xel-Ha, Tulum and its attractive Mayan ruins, swimming in a fresh water cenotes or on fine Caribbean beaches, visiting a tropical fruit farm or lovely lake Siete Colores (Laguna Bacalar), sleeping in a wooden cabanas in front of the ocean or small fisherman's villages Mahahual and Xcalak in Xcalak peninsula, where tourists are unknown species. |
